EU Renews Iran Human Rights Sanctions Regime

On 11 April 2017, the EU Council decided to renew its human rights sanctions regime against Iran until 13 April 2018. These measures consist of: a travel ban and an asset freeze against 82 people and one entity and a ban on exports to Iran of equipment which might be used for internal repression and of equipment for monitoring telecommunications.

EU Deletes Entities from Iranian Blacklist

On 16 January 2017, the EU published its confirmation of the deletion of certain entities from its Iran nuclear related sanctions blacklist. The links to the deletions can be accessed thru Implementing Reg. (EU) 2017/77 implementing Regulation (EU) No 267/2012) and Council Decision (CFSP) 2017/83 amending Decision 2010/413/CFSP).
